Sample Schedule

Here’s a quick peek at what your day at Camp Oo-Koo-Lay-Lay could look like (or not).  Remember, all activities are strictly optional and there’s no rule against just staying on your bunk with a good book….and your ‘ukulele. (Note, in addition to these, there’s a full range of supervised activities scheduled for kids, of all ages, not listed here.)

7:15 am - Grab a quick cup of coffee in the dining hall and:

1. sit and read the paper
2. go for a hike around Pine Crest Lake
3. swim a few laps in the pool
4. do a cardio work-out at the volley ball court
5. sit under a tree and practice
6. visit with other campers at the camp fire
7. none of the above

8:30 am – Breakfast is served in the dining hall

9:30 am – Attend one of several ukulele workshops being offered

10:45 am – Any one of the following:

1. sit under a tree and practice what you just learned
2. start an impromptu jam at the fire circle
3. cool off in the swimming pool
4. sign up for the adult ping pong tournament
5. work on your lanyard
6. throw a bowl at the ceramics studio or glaze your project
7. paint a tile
8. go for a hike
9. join crafty campers for knitting or Origami
10. start a friendship bracelet
11. TYE DYE!
12. all of the above
13. none of the above

12:15 pm – Lunch is served:

1. in the dining hall
2. bag lunch you packed in the morning for your hike
3. lunch BBQ at the lake

1:30 pm –  Any or none of the following:

1. free swim
2. nap
3. jam
4. play basketball
5. learn self-defense
6. explore
7. inner tube water polo

2:30 pm – Attend one of several ukulele workshops being offered

3:45 pm – Any one of the following:

1. sit under a tree and practice what you just learned
2. start an impromptu jam at the fire circle
3. cool off in the swimming pool
4. play volleyball
5. work on your lanyard or frienship bracelet
6. glaze ceramics and paint tiles
7. go for a hike
8. TYE DYE!
9. read a book
10. nap
11. kayak at the lake
12. all of the above
13. none of the above

5:00 pm – Ukulele Happy Hour!

6:15 pm - Dinner is served

7:00 pm – Any one of the following:

1. sunset hike with wine and cheese
2. camp fire jam
3. nothing at all

8:00 pm -  Varies from night to night:

1. family disco bingo
2. family sing along
3. Oo-koo-lay-lay camp fire jam
4. open mic on Oski Stage
5. Oski Revue
6. Hootnenany
7. star gazing
8. guest lectures
9. stumble around in the dark

Phew!  No wonder people come back year after year!
