In case you are stranded at sea with your ‘ukulele. . . . .

But wait!   There’s more!

Jim D’VIlle will be doing a whole lot more at Camp Oo-Koo-Lay-Lay than paddling around Lake Berryessa without a paddle!  He will be teaching you how to play by ear, one of the most important skills you’ll probably take away from camp. And you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice and learn with Jim, who has traveled the world, spreading the Play by Ear Gospel to people of all ages and persuasions for more than 15 years.

Check out the newly revised camp schedule, and you’ll see All Camp Jams (by Ear) featuring favorite pop tunes, along with tunes by Hank & Buck and The Crickets and the Beatles.  You’ll also have a chance to dig a little deeper in Jim’s newest and most popular workshops: The Emotional Value of Chords and Picking and Strumming by Ear.  Because, after all, you listen to music with your ears and not your eyes.

And this is just the beginning of all the fun you can have and the skills you might learn at Camp Oo-Koo-Lay-Lay. So please join Jim, and Rick Zeek, Rhan Wilson, Dave Egan, Gary Peare, and me at camp this year. Registration is still open and we still have one tent cabin left!

And if you bring a canoe, please don’t forget your paddle.
